Meet Our Attorney, Patrick H. Finlan
Our attorney, Patrick H. Finlan earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1983. While attending UW-Madison, he was a member of the Badger wrestling team.
During his high school wrestling career, Pat was a WIAA state wrestling champion and a three-time state freestyle wrestling champion. He also acquired an AAU Junior National wrestling title. Later, he went on to become a two-time qualifier for the U.S. Olympic Final Wrestling Trials.
After graduating from UW-Madison, Pat and his wife moved to north central Wisconsin in the mid-1980s. At the same time, Pat had been pursuing his journalism career for several years before turning to a career in law.
He began his career as an attorney in Rhinelander, WI. He practiced law as a partner of a large law firm in Wausau. In 2002, Pat and his family returned to Rhinelander, where he started his solo practice.
Pat and his wife Patti have been married for more than 30 years. They have two terrific adult children and two beautiful young granddaughters. When not practicing law, Pat loves to get involved in athletics. He is a longtime assistant coach for the Rhinelander High School wrestling team. He enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and generally being outdoors.

Our Legal Assistants
Michelle M. urick
Michelle M. Urick is our full-time legal assistant and bookkeeper. Michelle is a long-time resident of the Pickerel area. She received her high school diploma from Antigo High School and earned her associate’s degree in accounting from Northcentral Technical College. She also holds certificates for Small Business Bookkeeping and QuickBooks.
When away from the office, Michelle devotes all her time to her two wonderful children. She enjoys painting, drawing, exploring nature and spending time with family.
Karen J. Nease
Karen J. Nease is our part-time receptionist and legal assistant. Karen is a long-time resident of the Tomahawk area and graduated from Tomahawk High School. Following graduation, Karen went on to serve four years in the U.S. Air Force. After returning to Tomahawk, she earned an Associates Degree in Computer Programming.
When she's not working, Karen enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandson. She enjoys many outdoor activities, such as gardening, hiking, riding her Harley, and camping. Karen also enjoys almost any type of crafting, from making jewelry and greeting cards, to quilting.
